Vintage Pirate hat mold. Vintage milliners wooden mold for a tricorn hat. More commonly associated as a pirate hat these were actually gentlemen of fortune hats popular in the 18th century. This pirate hat form was recently acquired at the estate of a professional studio milliner in Los Angeles who also collected antique ephemera associated with his profession.

This has a great aesthetic and no doubt could be used by a milliner if so desired to mold pirate hats. Either way it would make a great addition to your pirate, wooden form or millinery collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Item measures 13.5“ deep by 13" wide by 5.25“ tall and weighs less than 4lbs 8oz.

CONDITION

In good used condition with signs of use commensurate with age, there is some cracking to the wood inside the form (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
